Welcome to This Way to Japan, a labor of love and love letter to my favorite country in the world. It’s a work-in-progress, and there’s still quite a lot to be done, but my long-term goal is to make this website the best and only resource you’ll need to plan your trip to Japan.
As exciting and wonderful as they are, I want to encourage you to explore beyond Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, and help you discover the roads less traveled in Japan.
To tell you a little bit about myself, I’m a full-time traveler who’s been running one of the world’s most popular travel blogs for the last few years now. I’ve traveled to over forty countries across six continents, but Japan will always be my one true love. I adore everything about this endlessly captivating country and its people.
I’ve visited and had adventures in almost all 47 of Japan’s prefectures. I’m on a quest to visit them all – a quest I’m aiming to complete soon – and share everything I’ve discovered here with you.
